Elon Musk has always been an ambitious chap. One of his aspirations was in space travel and tourism. And looks like he got there pretty soon. His company SpaceX has revealed the first private passenger to ride around the moon on the company’s future vehicle, the Big Falcon Rocket.
And that lucky person is Yusaku Maezawa, Japanese billionaire and founder of an online clothing store called Zozotown. It is expected that the first tour with Maezawa will be as early as 2023. “Finally, I can tell you that I choose to go to the moon! I choose to go to the moon with artists!” he said.
The billionaire is 42 years old and has a net worth of $2.9 billion. He considers himself an artist and hence has invited other artists as well to join him on the trip. He’d be inviting six to eight artists along with him and expects them to churn out an art after the trip which would help inspire the dreamer within all of us.
Fun fact: As of now, only 24 humans have been to the moon in history.
