First Look: Vijay's 'Whistle' gets social media applause

First Look: Vijays Whistle gets social media applause

The title of the Telugu version of 'Bigil' (Tamil) is 'Whistle'. Starring Tamil superstar Vijay in the lead, the film is a sports drama directed by Atlee.

The catchy title, which is an English translation of the Tamil title, has come in for applause on social media. Previously, 'Eela' was rumouredly under consideration. The makers have gone in for a more appealing title, one must say.

The big-budgeted film will hit the screens for Diwali. "Get ready for a bombastic Diwali," says Mahesh Koneru, the producer. His production house is going to ensure a grand release in 400 screens or so in the Telugu States. The theatrical rights value of the film is said to be Rs 9 Cr.

With music by AR Rahman, the film has dialogues by Sreeramakrishna. Cinematography is by GK Vishnu.
