Jallikattu has been a trending topic this year as it gathered a mass uprising of the people especially youngsters to protest for a rightful cause. Ilayathalapathy Vijay took part in the people's protest and expressed his solidarity.

Now the first look poster of his most anticipated 61st film 'Mersal', shows him in a rustic avtar with a thick mustache. In the background we can see a Bull, decorated for a Jallikattu sport. Vijay's look in the poster also makes us guess that it is take from a scene involving the Traditional Tamil sport.Even the title design reflect the horn and the tail of a bull. Connecting dots, we an say that 'Mersal' includes a scene in which Vijay plays Jallikattu sport. If this is true it will be the first time Vijay enacting a Jallukattu sequence. This coming in the same year of 'Jallikattu' protest makes it extra special and a memorable one.

'Mersal' directed by Atlee is scheduled to hit the screens in October 2017 as the grand Diwali attraction. The film produced by Thenandal Studios banner.
