On the occasion of Onam, the first look poster of the Malayalam movie ‘Chera’ starring Nimisha Sajayan and Roshan Mathew has been released. The poster is inspired by the picture of dying Jesus on the lap of Mother Mary, a portrayal modelled after Renaissance artist Michelangelo’s famous work Pieta. Going by the poster it looks like the Jesus figure represents Roshan's character.

The director of the movie is Lijin Jose and the script was written by Najeem Koya. Lijin debuted as a director with the film Friday in 2012, featuring Fahadh Faasil and Ann Augustine. Chera is produced by Arun MC, and the script comes from Najeen Koya. The cinematography is by Alex J Pulickal and the music by Shahabaz Aman.
