Navarasa is an upcoming Indian Tamil language web series from Netflix. The show is created by Maniratnam's Madras Talkies and co-produced by Qube Cinema Technologies.

The series features nine stand-alone episodes based on the Indian concept of the Navarasas. It is reported earlier that the episodes will be helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthik Subburaj, Karthick Naren, Rathidan R Prasad, Aravind Swamy, Halitha Shameem, Ponram, and late director K.V. Anand. But K.V. Anand, Ponram, and Halitha Shameem left the project and are replaced by Vasanth, Priyadarshan, and Sarjun.

The first look of Navarasa came out last night with the details of each episode. The nine episodes represent a different emotion or rasa such as anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder.

The emotion of the episode by GVM is Shringara (love). The segment is titled ‘Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru’ starring Suriya, Prayaga Martin. As the title suggests, this is a musical episode and will have 5 songs in it.

Veteran director Priyadarshan will direct the episode represents the emotion Hasya (laughter). The title of the segment is 'Summer of 92’ starring Yogibabu, Ramya Nambeesan, and Nedumudi Venu.

Vijay Sethupathi stars in the episode of the emotion Karuna (sorrow). Revathy, Prakash Raj, and Ashok Selvan will share screen space with VJS in this episode. The episode will be made by Bejoy Nambiar and named 'Edhiri'.

The segment directed by Aravind Swamy is titled after the emotion it represents. 'Roudhram' will portray the emotion Raudhra (anger). Rythvika, Sreeram, Abhinayasree, Ramesh Thilak, Geetha Kailasam features in this chapter.

Sarjun KM will helm the episode of the emotion Veera (courage), 'Thunintha Pin' starring Atharvaa, Anjali, and Kishore.

The episode of Bhayanaka (fear) is named 'Inmai' featuring Siddharth and Parvathy Thiruvothu. R. Rathindran Prasad will make his debut with Inmai in Navarasa.

Aruvi fame Aditi Balan will feature in the episode of Bibhatsya (disgust) along with Delhi Ganesh and Rohini. The Rhythm maker, Vasanth is helming this segment titled 'Paayasam'.

Young and talented maker Karthick Naren has directed a multi-starrer segment with Aravind Swamy and Prasanna as the leads. 'Project Agni' is a science fiction episode representing the emotion Abdutha (wonder).

Aesthetic filmmaker GVM and National Award Winner Bobby Simha sharing screen space with Master Tarunand Sananth in the episode 'Peace' by Karthik Subburaj. This segment represents the emotion Shantha (peace).

Navarasa is Netflix's second direct Tamil show after Paava Kadhaigal (2020). The series was scheduled to release in May 2021 but delayed due to the second wave of COVID-19. Navarasa is that the show will be out in August month. Stay tuned for more updates on this Netflix show.
