The COVID-19 cases and omicron variant infection took a hike in January month and the government imposed restrictions and curfews on all sectors to control the third wave of the pandemic that resulted in the indefinite postponement of many big-scale massive budget films slated for theatrical release.
Now, a big star movie has confirmed the release as the state government has relaxed night curfews and Sunday lockdowns. Famous Tamil action hero Vishal starrer 'Veeramae Vaagai Soodum' will hit the cinema halls worldwide on February 4. Directed by the debutante Thu Pa Saravanan and financed by Vishal Film Factory, the action thriller was originally scheduled to release on January 26 but faced a setback due to the COVID.
Vishal will be seen as a righteous cop and a common man who locks horns with the powerful evil people in society in Veeramae Vaagai Soodum. Dimple Hayathi will be romancing Vishal in Veeramae Vaagai Soodum while Yogi Babu, Malayalam actor Baburaj, Kumaravel, Tulasi and Raveena Ravi are playing supporting roles.
Besides the Tamil version, the movie will also be simultaneously released in Telugu as 'Saamanyudu'. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring music for Veeramae Vaagai Soodum with frames by Kavin Raj while NB Srikanth takes care of the editing department.
