Fire breaks out near AP CM's residence

A massive fire broke near the residence of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday noon in Vijayawada. As per early reports, straw stalks had been stocked near the Krishna river bund. These stalks caught fire for an as-yet-unconfirmed reason. In no time, the fire spread into the adjacent farm area.
Firefighting teams reached the spot as soon as they came to know of the incident. They doused the fire immediately.
As per early reports, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
The police are looking into the matter to ascertain the reason for the fire. They are investigating if it was a part of some foul play.
