As we all know, director Mani Ratnam is presently busy shooting for his upcoming film 'Kaatru Veliyidai' with Karthi and Aditi Rao Hyadari in lead roles. The second schedule of shoot is presently going on after finishing the first in Ooty.

At this juncture an unfortunate news has struck the film crew. A fire accident has been reported at the office of Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies located in Abiramapuram Chennai, a few hours back. Though the fire service department has been immediately alerted and the personnel have promptly doused the fire, it is sad part is that materials worth of lakhs of rupees have been gutted by the fire.

The reason behind fire accident is yet to be ascertained.

Madras Talkies is bankrolling 'Kaatru Veliyidai' and we hope the team soon recovers from this unfortunate incident.
