Actor Siddharth has been facing the heat on social media for making offensive, obnoxious remarks in the name of a joke at Saina Nehwal. While he has apologized for his tweet, the National Commission for Women is not in a mood to let it go.

The news is that, on Wednesday, the cyber crime wing of the Hyderabad police has lodged an FIR against the 'Maha Samudram' actor under two sections: Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code and 67 of the Information Technology Act are the ones under which the multi-lingual actor has been booked.
As has been anticipated, the actor is likely to face the heat in the form of multiple FIRs in at least a couple of cities. Siddharth lives in Chennai.
The actor, on his part, apologized to Saina on Tuesday night. "I may disagree with you on many things, but even my disappointment or anger when I read your tweet, cannot justify my tone and words," the 'Bommarillu' star added.
