The Thiruvananthapuram police have booked an FIR against actress Amala Paul in connection with purchasing a luxury car from Pondicherry allegedly producing fudged documents as residential proof and evading tax to the tune of 20 Lakhs rupees.

Amala Paul had purchased a luxury S Class Benz car from Puducherry and registered it there from a rental address which was found to be used by multiple persons.  The police had ordered the 'Thiruttu Payale 2' heroine to appear before them to clarify but since she had not they have proceeded against her.

Amala Paul had stated earlier that since she works in Tamil, Telugu and other languages she had made her purchase from Puducherry providing proper documents.  Amala Paul is currently holidaying in the mountainous terrains of Ladakh and the outcome of the case will only be known after she heads back home.
