Finally some new releases for Bollywood this week

Before the big films start hitting the screen from the month of April onwards, there are three small time films - 'Monica -The Politics Of Murder', 'Life Goes On' and 'Happy Husbands' - coming to theaters this weekend. Unfortunately though none of these three films have seen any publicity whatsoever coming their way which means despite an open field ahead of them, they are not expected to make any waves whatsoever.
'Monica - The Politics of Murder' is a political thriller with Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta in the lead and has it's base in a telecom scam that had made headlines years back. However despite it's strong setting, the film hasn't been promoted at all due to which it would largely go unnoticed. Ditto for 'Happy Husbands' which comprises of an unknown case and despite it's comic theme isn't expected to have it's investors laugh all the way to the bank. 'Life Goes On' at least boasts of known names like Sharmila Tagore, Om Puri and Soha Ali Khan. However zero publicity and an offbeat appeal means that audience would rather stay home.
Given the lack of buzz for each of these three films, it would be rather surprising if they even manage an all-India release for themselves. While 'Life Goes On' may find a few shows at multiplexes, 'Monica' would primarily have a single screen appeal. As for 'Happy Husbands', it would be happy to see release of any kind for itself.
