Actor Kartik Aaryan has very promising line up of films underproduction. He'll showcase his funny quirky side in 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2' and in 'Dhamaka', we'll see him in a serious and troubled news anchor avatar. One of his several interesting projects is, 'Dostana 2'. It is a follow up of Karan Johar's 2008 hit 'Dostana' and it stars Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya Lalwani.
The production on the film started in late 2019 but just like every other project, it suffered the consequences of lockdown and had to be halted. Although the film was supposed to get back on track after the lockdown lifted but that couldn't happen. A source told Spotboye, “A portion of Dostana 2 was set abroad, however, due to the current pandemic, there are several regulations on international schedules of shoot. And the makers are preferring not to put anyone’s safety at risk and move back that abroad schedule to India. Therefore, the shoot had been put on hold to make changes in the script to suit the Indian setting.”
The source further added, “With the changes in the script, the makers are not very happy with the course of the narrative and hence the shoot has been getting delayed, waiting for the desirable screenplay that supports the concept. Dostana had set a bar for its sequel and the makers don’t want to bring that down.”
