Dhanush, VJS, Trisha bag top awards - Filmfare Awards South 2019 complete list

The prestigious Filmfare Awards South in its 66th year had a huge turnout of stars and some dazzling performances making it a gala affair. For Tamil, both Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi won the Best Actor Male (Popular) for 'Vada Chennai' and '96' respectively while Trisha was named the Best Actor Female (Popular) for '96'. The Best Actor (Critics choice) went fo Arvind Swamy for 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' and Aishwarya Rajesh for 'Kanaa'. Sathyaraj and Saranya Ponvannan won in supporting category for 'Kanaa' and 'Kolamavu Kokila' respectively. Ramkumar took home the Best Director trophy for his serial killer blockbuster hit 'Ratsasan'. '96' won the most number of awards as well in five categories
