Ram Gopal Varma is highly optimistic about the future of the film industry. With many writing off the cinema in the wake of the pandemic, the senior director has said that the film industry will prove the skeptics wrong just as Japan did in the aftermath of World War-II.

The director, whose 'Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu' in December was a disaster, sees some important changes taking place with respect to movies. In a chit-chat with Lakshmi Manchu, the director said (as quoted by Times of India), "The technical work will increase, new-age film-making will be ushered in and OTT platforms will rise in prominence. Producers will be able to promote their films at lesser expenses."

While some of these are obvious, it has to be seen how the producers will save their precious monies on promotions. One thing is for sure. Once a vaccine is available for Covid-19, fearless movie-goers will spend their monies on movies like never before. But when is it likely to happen? Even the biggest scientific minds can't answer this.
