Film industry closed, a day of respect to Parvathamma

The Kannada film industry all activities are closed down for Wednesday because of demise of Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, noted producer of 80 films in Kannada and she was the head of the huge Kannada filmdom.

The shooting, screening and post production activities are closed for the day as a mark of respect says KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu. Karnataka Chief Minister approved the place of burial of Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar next to Dr Rajakumar at Kanteerava Studio. The CM and his cabinet colleagues paid respect to the departed soul.

The film fraternity is joining in the funeral and last respected of Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar. Adjacent to Dr Rajakumar memorial in Kanteerava Studio, the final rites of his mother is conducted by Dr Shivarajakumar eldest son of Dr Rajakumar and Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar.

The procession from Poornapragna playground in Sadashivanagar (very near to Dr Rajakumar residence) starts at 4 pm and rites are conducted around 6.30 pm today.
