Many filmmakers and celebrities from Kollywood have expressed shock over the most untimely death of producer Ashok Kumar the relative of actor-producer Sasikumar. 

In his tweet in Tamil director Gautham Menon has said "Ashok I know you death fill help to nab a heartless money minded demon. But we wish you should have been alive and conducted this struggle."

Director Suseenthrian has said "I am terribly shocked by the death of brother Ashok Kumar. Madurai Anbu (Anbuchezhiyan) should be punished."

Acotr Krishna has said this is the black day for Tamil cinema. Actores Aishwarya Rajesh and Kalaiyarasan have also conveyed condolences for the death of the young producer. 

Director Ameer has been standing with his friend Sasikumar during this time of grief.In his address to media Ameer cautioned that if the financiers extracting huge interest rates are not controlled that will lead to the closure of Tamil cinema industry He also thanked the police for immediately booking the financier for allegedly abetting the suicide of Ashok Kumar.
