On January 20, municipality workers found a mutilated body in the Pallikarnai area in Chennai. The limbs found in a garbage dump were found to be that of a woman. The police, who started an investigation based on the tattoo on the hand of the murdered woman, have now arrested Balakrishnan, a filmmaker in Kollywood.

Reports say that it was the husband who mercilessly murdered his wife Sandhya, cut her into pieces and threw her body away. Balakrishnan produced and directed a film way back in 2010.

In their investigation, the police have found out that Sandhya hailed from Tuticorin and was living separately due to a misunderstanding with her husband. They filed for divorce. Balakrishnan learned that Sandhya was friendly with another guy.

Acting on the details provided by the murderer, the cops are searching for the rest of the body parts in Chennai.
