Film Chamber takes women-friendly decisions

Earlier today, a meet was held at the Film Chamber of Commerce building in Hyderabad by Telugu film industry representatives. Director N Shankar, who holds an office, said that the issue of sexual harassment of women has been considered very seriously. "A separate committee has been set up to probe into complaints," he said.
What comes as a good news for newcomers and aspiring artists (especially) is that videographing auditions has been made compulsory. "At least one woman (who has no interest in the movie) should necessarily be there on the sets while the audition is being videographed," N Shankar said.
A SHE hotline has been instituted. A panel has been set up to counsel newcomers if they face any issues. These are in addition to a CASH committee constituted recently.
It has once again been clarified that there never was a proposal to boycott any news TV channel.
