Will Gautami contest for RK Nagar seat?

Film actress and social activist, Gautami was one of the fewest Kollywood celebs to raise questions involving the demise of J Jayalalithaa.

There have been talks that Gautami will likely contest for the RK Nagar seat, that fell vacant after the former CM's death. It was said that the yesteryear heroine was offered to contest on behalf of the BJP.

However, a spokesperson of the actress has denied the claims, saying that Gautami will not contest in the by-polls, and will continue to serve the society without entering politics. The EC has scheduled the elections for the RK Nagar constituency on the 12th of April.
