When a star shines in another language(s), it's but natural that dubbed movies featuring the actor/actress will find their way into a new terrain. In recent times, the popularity of Mohanlal (after 'Janatha Garage'), Nithya Menen (after 'Ishq'), Dulquer Salman (after 'OK Bangaram'), 'Kicha' Sudeep (after 'Eega'), among others, was sought to be banked upon by dubbing their originals into Telugu. 'Oppam' wouldn't have been dubbed into Telugu if not for the visibility Mohanlal got due to NTR's film. Examples galore.

The latest star to be right at the center of this trend is Sai Pallavi, whose fame in the Telugu States is at its zenith after 'Fidaa'. Her Malayalam film 'Kali', co-starring Dulquer Salman, will be dubbed into Telugu. The lead pair is playing a married couple in this action-thriller. The fact Gopi Sunder is the music director will only be an added attraction.

The dubbed version's rights have been acquired by DV Krishna Swamy, the noted distributor from Ceeded region. He will release the film on Lakshmi Chennakesava Films.
