Sivakarthikeyan is one of the top stars of Kollywood at the moment and was last seen on screen in the Christmas 2019 release Hero directed by PS Mithran, and the movie received lukewarm response at the box office.

Siva Karthikeyan is currently acting in two movies namely, Doctor and the long delayed Ayalaan which are directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar and Ravikumar respectively. Now there's an interesting buzz on the release of Doctor.

Speculations are running rife that Sivakarthikeyan's first film to release in 2020 will be Doctor and that it might release on the festive occasion of Diwali. The shooting of Doctor was on hold due to lockdown and in lockdown the team released two songs 'Chellamma' and 'Nenjame'. Reportedly, Nelson Dhilipkumar needs two weeks to wrap up the shooting of Doctor and the team is planning to release in Diwali. On the other hand, theater owners are constantly requesting government to reopen theaters from October.
