It's a known fact that actor Simbu is currently awaiting the release of his 45th movie Maanaadu, the political entertainer directed by Venkat Prabhu who has been known for his fun filled commercial entertainers.

This movie also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, SA Chandrasekar, Manoj K Bharathi and many others and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Recently the film's teaser was released on Simbu's birthday and got a massive reception.

Now the latest buzz making the rounds is that Venkat Prabhu and team are targeting a May release during Eid festival. It must be noted that Simbu plays a Muslim youngster Abdul Khaaliq and releasing on the Islamic festive date will be befitting. An official confirmation on Maanaadu release date is expected soon.
