The Kannada films are faring badly in the box office with rush of films and competition inside is not going to the ears of anyone.

In Kannada film market just two films is enough is long standing observation which no one is giving care. As of now nearly 150 films got released till October first week with five additions in the last week. It is only ‘Bharjari’ and ‘Taarak’ doing very good in the box office.

This Friday 13th October it is rain of films once again; a few more for 20th of October and four big films are there to compete in Kannada for 27th of October the eve of Kannada Rajyotsava. Raju Kannada medium and Tiger Galli have confirmed release for 27th of this month.

The pre Deepavali festival boon for Kannada audience are seven in numbers. Kariya 2 an action film with love dose of P2 Productions and Anekal Balaraj joint venture with pretty Mayoori on board is the highest budget among all films releasing in Kannada in the coming week. The earlier Kariya Kannada film 14 years ago was blockbuster. Challenging star Darshan got good mileage from that 100 days film. Kariya was directed by Prem and Kariya 2 by Prabhu Srinivas.

Kataka, Puneeth Rajakumar presents film by NS Rajakumar is a horror dose with not familiar actors. Well known music director Ravi Basroor is director of this film. Ravi Basroor made ‘Kundapura’ Kannada film. he has based a real life incident in Kataka. A child actor Baby Shlaga Saligrama is cynosure. He has scored the music for this film too. Spandana, Ashok and others are in the cast. The trailer of this film was released in 13 Indian languages.

Aadu Aata Aadu – this is a remake of Tamil film of 2006 ‘Thiruta Payale’ releasing after long stay in cans. Ramanath Rigvedi has made nativity changes to the thriller from start to finish. Jagan is hero and producer of this film. Shruthi Marathe, Suman Ranganath play lead roles.

‘Gayathri’ is horror film. the incident takes place in a house with many nail biting situations. Kumar Movies banner Bharathi Gowda and V Kumar are producers in Kumar Movies. Samrat Sathya has directed this film besides writing story, screenplay. Chetan, Shoba Rani, Nayana Krishna, Shobaraj, Thriller Venkatesh, Mohan Juneja are in cast. C Ravi music and Sindanur cinematography and Prasad is editor.

Sithara is a musical film with sister sentiment is hitting on silver screen after four years stain cans. Harish Raj, Dilip Raj, Neethu, Neha Patil are in direction of designer of ads turned director AR Masthan. Dr Vijay is co producer of this film. SP Chandrakanth provided lilting tunes.

‘Thikla’ of over decade of production is coming on silver screen. Jakkanahalli Shivu production film stars Vijay Venkat in Anjinayya direction, Ravi and Raghu worked behind camera. Senior actor Rangayana Raghu as an employee works in mortuary department.

‘Muthanna’ is a 24 years back released film of Shivarajakumar is releasing with new technological uplift. L Somanna Gowda original producer is releasing again. Supriya, Sneha, Shashikumar, Doddanna, Bhavyasri are in the cast of this film.
