Diddy Under Scrutiny: Investigators Review Mansion Footage in Abuse Probe

As previously reported, federal authorities are interrogating prospective witnesses identified in surveillance footage from Sean Diddy Combs' homes. Combs is being investigated for various charges, including mistreatment by a male sex worker.

The video's source—Combs' security cameras or another party—is unknown and has not been shared. CNN reported that Combs' accusers may appear before a federal grand jury. Grand jury indict criminals after reviewing evidence and testimony.

Celebrities and unknowns appear in the footage. Several civil cases filed against Combs in the past six months allege that entertainers and executives attended his events and were assaulted. Multiple accusers have been interrogated by federal investigators.

After a leaked video showed him punching his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel corridor, Combs apologized. Combs' accusers, potentially important witnesses, have identified other suspects.

Derrick Parker, a former NYPD hip-hop intelligence unit member, predicted an indictment if these individuals testify before the grand jury. Investigators have more witnesses to interrogate as new accusations—two lawsuits were filed this month—arise. Parker warned that Combs' partygoers on social media may be subpoenaed.

Cassie Ventura sued Combs in November and settled out of court the next day. At least six accusers have sued for sexual and physical abuse, including sex trafficking. Federal officials raided two Combs houses in March.

Neither the Justice Department nor HSI have disclosed investigation details. After the raids, Combs' ex, Misa Hylton, revealed security footage alleging authorities mistreated their son. Drug charges were also filed against Combs associate Brendan Paul in Miami. Parker suspects racketeering charges as officials study Combs' party tapes and images to support assertions. Combs has not been charged criminally.
