Feb 21: Mark this date in Kamal Haasan's career

Kamal Haasan will finally name his party on Feb 21 at Ramanathapuram, his hometown. The actor-turned-politician will start a state-wide tour from the town and continue to visit several districts in the following days.

This launching of the tour (Yatra) has been described by sections of media as the actor's final plunge into politics. Recently, however, the 'Vishwaroopam' actor had promised that he will begin a Tamil Nadu-wide tour from January 26.

The actor on Wednesday added that, through this tour, he aims to "...to truly understand as to what the needs of my people are, what is afflicting them, what their aspirations are?"
