Kalidas`s first Malayalam film as hero Poomaram`s Pooja ceremony happened at Maharaja`s college. Kalidas Jayaram is in the comeback path to Malayalam through this movie helmed by Abrid Shine. Earlier it was heard that he will be working with Pratap Pothen`s new project, but that finally ended up in a bitter spat.

Jayaram did the first clap` and Parvathy conducted the switch-on ceremony. Malavika, Kalidas`s younger sister joined the ceremony by lighting the lamp.

Kalidas has a special place in the hearts of malayalees by his roles as a child artist in films like Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum and Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal. He has already completed few projects in Tamil industry including Oru Pakka Kathai and Meenkuzhambum & Manpaanayum.

Veteran directors including Kamal, Sibi Malayil, Joshy, Major Ravi, etc graced the occasion.

The film is touted as a campus movie.
