Vijay Sethupathi has been owning the crown when it comes to acting in the most number of movies every year in recent times. Meanwhile the Makkal Selvan's first pan Indian web series 'Farzi' directed by Raj and DK of 'The Family Man' fame will start streaming on February 10th onwards on Amazon Prime Video. It was announced that a trailer would be released today (January 11th) and fans waited eagerly for it. A clip did make it to the internet space but fans were in for a shock as it turned out to be fake.

The trailer of 'Farzi' starts with a powerful action scene by Shahid Kapoor who plays the main protagonist. Then the shooting is suddenly stopped in the middle by Shahid Kapoor arriving totally confusing fans. It turns out that the one who was shooting is a doppleganger of Shahid Kapoor.

Actually, the makers of 'Farzi' have adopted a unique way to create excitement among the audience about the show. The trailer that was released today is deliberately fake to strongly drive home the theme of the film and above all the English word for the title is Fake. The team has also announced that the real trailer will arrive on January 13th.

'Farzi' stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna, Regina Cassandra, Zakir Hussain, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Kay Kay Menon. The synopsis reads "A small-time artist working out of his grandfather’s printing press has designed the ultimate con job - a crime uniquely suited to him - and gets pulled into the murky, high stakes world of all that it demands.
