Rahul Gandhi has taken potshots at the BJP government after the Union Budget was presented today. Taking to Twitter, the Congress chief described the direct cash transfer scheme meant for small and marginal farmers as tantamounting to nothing.
"Dear NoMo, 5 years of your incompetence and arrogance has destroyed the lives of our farmers. Giving them Rs. 17 a day is an insult to everything they stand and work for," RaGa opined.
The Congress said that the income transfer scheme for 12 crore farmers means just Rs 500 per month per farmer (at Rs 12,000 per annum).
The party further said, "Piyush Goyal (interim Finance Minister) has got it wrong, job seekers are still seeking and the one thing MUDRA has been successful at is furthering the banking crisis."
