Renowned actor, singer, director Farhan Akhtar who is badly hurt about the Dadri incident, which happened few days before Gandhi Jayanthi posted on Facebook saying, "A man in Dadri, U.P was 'rumoured' to have stored or eaten beef was brutally murdered, he was dragged out of his house and beaten to death. His son was also attacked and in a critical condition now. His wife and daughter will never recover from this incident that they have seen or faced. The only reason, He was RUMORED to have stored and/or eaten beef."

Mohammad Ikhlaq of Bisada village in Dadri, was the man beaten to death, and Farhan Akhtar shared his grief for the family and strongly stated, "After all this the only thing that can happen is political leaders visit to support the family, some talk on the victims eating habit and the accused hideout. This has always been happening and will happen. Nothing is going to change."

He strongly comments, "This is not the time to be quite. What has happened once can happen again, unless we the people do not unite in demanding immediate action. There are serious implications if justice is not swift and exact." He concludes by saying, "Let us all face it.... Gandhi's memory has been ruined in our hearts. Let us not allow another Dadri incident ever to take place. Jai Hind."
