So what he is seen on big screen once in a while while his production ventures do the talking... Farhan Akhtar is in great demand owing to his music band and is known to be a hot choice among young music enthusiasts. For instance, here's an educational institution which waited for nearly one year for Farhan's band to perform for them.

According to our sources, the prominent Manipal University approached Farhan Akhtar's band last year (2014) for their festival. Unfortunately, Farhan's dates were already locked and he could not make it for the festival. The organizing committee was really disappointed and kept going to and fro with band team to try and figure a way that Farhan could attend the event. But things did not finally work out. However the enthusiastic college committee reached out to Farhan`s band immediately the next month and extended a proposal for him to perform next year at the festival.

While the band told them that it won't be possible for them to book so much in advance keeping in mind Farhan`s film dates, brand commitments and other things, the students insisted on making a tentative booking. They explained that they did not want to lose out on the opportunity of having Farhan perform.

And finally now, that is few days ago, Farhan performed in Manipal on March 14th and the students were all bursting with enthusiasm and vigour.

Anurag Rao, lead guitarist and co-founder of Farhan live confirms and shares, "Manipal university was always on our bucket list of gigs to play. They wanted us since last year but things couldn't work out then. I am so glad that we could finally give them what they were waiting for - a sumptuous feast of Farhan Live. This was probably one of our most memorable shows. We'd love to go back and play again!!"

Farhan started his band 'Farhan Live' two years ago and since then they have been extensively touring for concerts. The band has performed in a lot of colleges and universities since they came together. Farhan has extensively been travelling across cities like Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Belgaum, Goa, Pune, etc.

Farhan will soon be seen on big screens with 'Wazir' and 'Dil Dhadakne Do'.
