Just like several other Bollywood stars, Farhan Akhtar has also come forward to aid people affected by the pandemic. The actor has been carrying out his operations away from social media. Farhan joined forces with an NGO named Hope For Welfare Trust. He has made donations to the foundation and his funds are being used to provide food for Covid-19 patients as well as people who are taking care of them.

People working in a few crematoriums are also availing the facilities provided by Farhan. The secretory of the NGO, Mr Divyanshu Upadhyay shared, "Eight of us from the Hope team have been distributing 1000 thalis every day in the city. Each thali has rice, dal, roti, sabzi, salad and biscuits. If we distribute lunch to the hospitals during the day, at night, we focus on the cremation grounds. Farhan Akhtar sir has always stood by us in our times of need, and we are grateful for his contribution this time.”

During the first wave of the pandemic, Farhan provided frontline healthcare workers with 1000 PPE kits.
