Farhan Akhtar bags Best Actor, Deepika Padukone Best Actress at Filmfare

One of the most prestigious events of B-Town, the 59th Filmfare Awards night took place yesterday with sparkling stars, entertainment splendour and excitement at top notch.
While Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor maintained the excitement of the evening as the eventÂs host, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit and Shahid Kapoor won hearts with their sensational dance performances. Amidst such gala celebrity entertainments, the winners were announced. Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone bagged the Filmfare Best Actor and Best Actress Awards for their performance in ÂBhaag Milkha Bhaag and ÂGoliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-leela respectively.
While ÂBhaag Milkha Bhaag was hailed as the Best Film of 2013, its helmer Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra won the Best Director Award.
Veteran actress Tanujaa was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. While ÂChennai Express won the Sony Trendsetter of the Year Award.
