Social media influencers and celebrities throughout the country are coming forward to help fellow countrymen in battling the pandemic. They are amplifying the information about available oxygen and other medical resources so that people in need can get treatment effectively. Amidst this chaos, actor Farhan Akhtar has questioned Serem Institute of India about the difference in prices of Covishield vaccine through the country.
Farhan tweeted a news screenshot mentioning the difference in prices of vaccination in govt and private hospitals and wrote, "Can a spokesperson for the Serum Institute India please help us understand why states should not get Covishield at the same price as the centre?? And if they have issued a statement citing reasons, could someone please share a link re the same. Thank you." This was to ensure that no one is illegally profiting from the pandemic which has already ruined so many lives.
Actor Sonu Sood also posted the same news screenshot as Farhan and wrote, "Every needy should get vaccine for free.
Very important to put a cap on the pricing. Corporates and individuals who can afford should come forward to help everyone get vaccinated.
धंधा फिर कभी और कर लेंगे।"
