Actor Fardeen Khan has been invited to perform at the Bollywood Awards ceremony in the US in April as he is one of the "hottest" actors in the industry, according to the event's organisers.

Fardeen is known for playing diverse roles, ranging from negative characters in Hindi films "Fida" and "Bhoot" to romantic roles in "Khushi" and "Janasheen."

"He is one of the hottest actors in Bollywood and one of the most talked about celebrities," Kamal Dandona, chairman of the Bollywood Awards organising committee, said in a statement Sunday.

The awards ceremony will be held in the Mark G. Etess Arena at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlanta City, New Jersey, April 30.

Leading stars Rani Mukerjee, Saif Ali Khan, Lara Dutta, Bhoomika Chawla, Aftab Shivdasani, Raghav and Tata Young will join Fardeen at the ceremony to honour film personalities.
