Choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan, known for her no-nonsense attitude and wittiness, recently opened up about her phenomenal journey to motherhood. Farah Khan went on to reveal the challenges and joys that came along with giving birth to triplets via IVF in 2008 with her husband, Shirish Kunder.
In an emotional conversation with the clinic, Khan revealed that after grappling with the intransigent cage of infertility, she resorted to manifesting power. Inspired by "The Secret," she expressed her desire for pregnancy, and indeed, the extraordinary news is that she will be expecting not twins but triplets. Recalling that moment, Khan added, "We had already decided the name for the children. When the doctor told me, I was sure of our pregnancy, though she warned about the multiple pregnancies.
She recalled a time when she was actually carrying multiple pregnancies and later faced one of the most difficult decisions of her life. While the medicos suggested "reducing" to one of the three, she had the courage to say no to it and went ahead to deliver triplets, Czar, Anya, and Diva, in the year 2008.
Referring to this casual interaction, Khan humorously laid bare some of the dynamics in her family with anecdotes about children mocking her for following the doctor's advice. Reminiscing about their playful banter, she said, "My kids used to joke with the doctor's advice of reducing' one. I have determined that they are above average in weight. Now my kids make it a playful joke: 'You should have listened to the doctor and removed one kid.'"
