Farah Khan donates prize money to slum women

Farah Khan who along with Karan Johar was a guest on the 'India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun' finale episode hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, happened to win 11.5 lakhs on the show and the director-choreographer now plans on donating the amount to charity.

Being Bollywood`s most successful female director and one who paved the way for women directors in the country, Farah Khan has always been a strong supporter for woman empowerment and this time around will donate the sum to SNEHA- Society for Nutrition,Education and Health Action. (A Resource center for health issues of women and children in urban slums.) The amount Farah donates will go towards the betterment of women and children living in the Dharavi area of Mumbai.

When contacted said Farah Khan, "I don`t like to talk about the charities I do, but I`m associated with SNEHA, and I support them in whatever capacity I can. I am grateful to Karan that he has agreed to donate his share of the prize money as well".
