Fan wars over 'NTR: Mahanayakudu' shot

After the Trailer for 'NTR: Mahanayakudu' was unveiled on Saturday, Ram Gopal Varma was quick to post a pic in which NT Rama Rao is seen showing respect to Indira Gandhi like a person inferior to her. In the Krish-Balakrishna movie, though, we are going to see the opposite. Indira will be seen reverentially folding her hands involuntarily upon the sight of NTR's larger-than-life cut-out (this shot is there in the film's trailer itself).
RGV's post has triggered a "Reality vs Fiction" fight among political fanboy and fangirl on social media. The supporters of TDP are flashing certain cartoons that portrayed NTR as someone who really shook the Congress and Indira in the 1980s. While anti-fans are going all out to present cartoons from the days of Chandrababu Naidu's coup against his father-in-law.
Cartoons can present a distorted view of the reality. Objective news reports, comprehensive accounts, unbiased biographies, bipartisan historical accounts - these and not cartoons and hagiographic films should be the source of knowledge.
