Famous Scriptwriter Ravi Shankar Alok Kills Himself

Suicides in showbiz are not new. However, it becomes especially so true among writers from novelists (think Ernest Hemingway) to many writers of films as well. Famous Bollywood writer Ravi Shankar Alok committed suicide on Wednesday.
The 32 year old screenplay writer was a resident of Seven Bunagalows area in Andheri. Ravishankar took the ultimate step of killing himself by jumping off the roof of his building around 2 pm. Reportedly, he was also a part of the writing of Nana Patekar’s ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’.
A neighbour had heard a loud thump around afternoon after he came out to check. Only to notice the writer lying in a pool of blood. Then an ambulance was immediately called to the spot following which the police arrived.
The building’s watchman also stated that the writer’s family stayed with him for two days before leaving to their hometown Patna. The watchman also revealed that the terrace of the building was locked and he had no idea how Ravishankar was able to get there.
