Veteran Odia actor Raimohan Parida, 58, was found hanging at his home in Prachi Vihar area of Bhubaneswar on Friday, June 24. Prima facie evidence suggests it to be death by suicide. The body has been sent for postmortem.

Earlier, Raimohan’s body was found hanging from his residence in Prachi Vihar area in Bhubaneswar on Friday. It is suspected that Raimohan has ended his life by suicide. However, the exact reason that drove Raimohan to resort to such extremes is still unclear.

As per Mancheswar Police, Raimohan had texted ‘bye’ along with the names of his two daughters. He had also sent bye message from his mobile phone to his wife. As per reports, the body of the actor was recovered from his house at Prachi Vihar in Palasuni area of Bhubaneswar on Friday morning.

Raimohan Parida initiated his career in Odia film through ‘Sagar’. Besides he has more than 100 films including many hit Odia films to his credit including ‘Bandhana’, ‘Asibu Kebe Saji Mo Rani’, ‘Tu Thile Mo Dara Kahaku' and many more. He has also acted in many TV serials. He was also associated with the theatre world. Parida had won the hearts of Odia audience for his powerful acting and dialogue delivery.
