It is a well-known fact that Thalapathy Vijay has undisputed stardom in the Kerela state. His fanbase in Kerela is parallel to their superstar actors Mohanlal and Mammootty. The Keralites have an immense love for the actor and he reciprocates their love always.
Now, a Malayalam director has revealed that he is waiting to work with Vijay. Alphonse Puthren is one of the most sought-after directors in Mollywood. He made his directional debut with the critically acclaimed Malayalam – Tamil bilingual suspense-thriller ‘Neram’. His second film was the sensational blockbuster coming-of-age romantic film ‘Premam’.
On March 19, Alphonse Puthren took to his official Facebook handle to share the official lyric video of ‘Jolly O Gymkhana’ from Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming biggie, ‘Beast’. When a fan commented requesting him to direct a love film with the superstar, the director said “Thalapathy was the first to call me from Tamil Nadu after Premam release, through his manager and producer Jagadeesh. I have met Thalapathy Vijay sir personally once. Hoping one day he will call me, to do a film. I’m waiting.”
Fans of both Thalapathy Vijay and director Alphonse Puthren would be equally excited if the two of them came together for a project. It might happen for real as Vijay is already interested in doing direct films in other languages. He is set to work with director Vamshi Paidipally for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual project. So, we can expect a direct Malayalam movie from Thalapathy.
