As said by Robert De Niro's lawyer revealed in court, his financial position is worsening and his estranged wife Grace Hightower has asked for an emergency order to increase her monthly American Express card credit limit from $50,000 to $100,000.

As claimed by Hightower's lawyer, De Niro reduced her credit card limit from USD 100,000, and also didn't allow her and her two children into his New York compound. De Niro's lawyers said that the actor is having huge financial strain as the coronavirus pandemic has damaged the business of the restaurant chain Nobu and Greenwich Hotel, where De Niro has stakes. Nobu has incurred huge losses of USD 3 million in April and USD 1.87 in May. He had to pay USD 500,000 to investors recently and even for that he borrowed money from his partners as he didn't have cash.
