Gautham Vasudev Menon is a leading director in the Tamil industry who is known for his evergreen love films and stylish action films. It is known that GVM and Vijay were supposed to work on the espionage thriller 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru' in the early 2010s but the film never saw the light.
Now, Gautham Menon has expressed his wish to work with Thalapathy Vijay in a recent interview. The director is now taking part in interviews ahead of the release of his next film 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'. When he was asked whether he will collaborate with Vijay during an interaction with Vikatan, GVM answered, "We will definitely do it. If we make a film with him who has superstar quality, it will be awesome."
"Now, I feel like I can make a beautiful love story for Vijay. When he is doing action, crime and thriller, it will be different if Vijay takes up the love story now," added Gautham. The renowned filmmaker also stated that he has plans to work with Vijay Sethupathi on a project in the future. On the work front, GVM's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, starring Simbu and Siddhi Idnani, is slated to be released on September 15.
