The recent Facebook data breach has left millions of customers dubious about the social media company’s security behaviour. Political consultancy firm Cambridge Analytica’s improper usage of over 50 million user data to aid US President Trump’s campaign has earned flak for the popular website.
Following important personalities like Brian Acton of WhatsApp and Elon Musk of SpaceX, now the latest to say NO to the social media platform is none other than Bollywood’s Farhan Akhtar. The actor took to his Twitter page recently to disclose the news. “Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account,” he said. However it should be noted that the actor's live page FarhanAkhtarLive is still active.
Even though Mark Zuckerberg has explained himself stating that no more such incidences will happen, user around the globe seem to be not so impressed with his assurance as the #deletefacebook trend is only gaining traction among the users.
Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account.

However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active.
