On Sunday, sections of media reported that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would be getting Z category security, which was projected as having been granted arbitrarily by the Modi government unconditionally. Several trolls took to social media and questioned the rationale behind "wasting taxpayers' money" to provide expensive security protocol for someone who is not even an MLA.

Turns out that the news is fake. The Jana Sena Party has dismissed the reports as speculative. In an official statement, it said that some vested interests are behind the propagation of the untruth.

Pawan didn't ask for any such security grant even though he is an ally of the ruling party at the centre. In any case, there are no security threats that the actor-cum-politician is facing.
