Famous hero reveals reason for rejecting ‘Petta’ offer

Supertar Rajinikanth’s new movie ‘Petta’ is getting bigger and bigger as each week passes with some amazing actors boarding.  The Karthik Subbaraj directorial already has the top notch cast of Trisha, Simran, Nawazuddin Siddique, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Megha Akash, Muniskanth and Vijay Sethupathi while only yesterday Sasikumar also singed up for a pivotal role.

It was earlier reported that Karthik Subbaraj had approached frontline Malayalam hero Fahadh Fazil for a key role in ‘Petta’.  The ‘Velaikkaran’ actor has revealed that he was indeed approached but could not take up the role as the required dates had already been allotted at that point to his recent hit movie ‘Varadhan’.  It may also be recalled that Fahadh was offered a role in Mani Ratnam’s mega hit multistarrer ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ which he did not accept due to various reasons and Arun Vijay stepped in to gain a huge mileage in his career.
