Actor Fahadh Faasil who is currently shooting for Dileesh Pothen’s ‘Joji’, has signed a new flick titled ‘Malayankunju'. Interestingly, the upcoming movie will be produced by his father and veteran filmmaker Fazil, who is returning to showbiz after nine years.

Filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan will be scripting the film that will be helmed by debutant Sajimon, who is the chief associate of the former. Mahesh Narayanan will also be cranking the lens and editing for 'Malayankunju'. Music is by Sushin Syam. The movie's poster is out online and has already generated huge buzz.

The movie is expected to go on floors by the end of January next year, or the beginning of February in Kerala. The team is currently working on the casting of the film.

‘Malayankunju' marks the second project of the father-son duo together after the 2002 release ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’. It ma be remembered that Fahadh's performance in ‘Kaiyethum Doorath’ was highly criticised and the movie bombed at the box-office. Following which Fahadh took a seven-year hiatus following and then returned to the screens as one of the most bankable actors in Malayalam cinema.
