After the digital release of C U Soon, Irul, and Joji, actor Fahadh Faasil's another much-awaited movie Malik is also prepping up for an OTT release. Owing to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the makers opted to skip theatrical release and stream the movie on July 15 on Amazon Prime Video. As the movie's release date is nearing, the team has dropped the trailer of Malik on social media on Tuesday.

“A journey from the streets of Ramadappally to its throne. Trailer out now,” tweeted Amazon Prime Video’s official Twitter handle while sharing the trailer. The 1 minute 24-seconds trailer gives a glimpse of the life of Sulaiman Malik, played by Fahadh Faasil, a charismatic leader who turns out to be a messiah for a community and provides them support to stand up against the corrupt forces. The trailer is dark, raw, and very impressive due to its setting and intense performances.

The edge-of-the-seat political thriller written and directed by Mahesh Narayan and produced by Anto Joseph, also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Joju George, Vinay Fort, Dileesh Pothan, Jalaja, Salim Kumar, Indrans, Sanal Aman, Dinesh Prabhakar, Divya Prabha, and Parvathy Krishna in pivotal roles. The crew of Malik also includes Take Off movie cinematographer Sanu John Varughese, composer Sushin Shyam (Varthan, Kumbalangi Nights, Virus), and sound designer Vishnu Govind.
