After Facebook’s involvement in the data breach scandal, its has been a tough time for the world’s most popular social networking site. Now in a startling revelation Facebook has revealed that it would be giving a bounty of sorts to users who report misuse of private information.

It is said that the social media company is doing this to step up data protection in the aftermath of the data scandal. According to Facebook, it would be rewarding a minimum of $500 to reported cases that affects atleast 10,000 or more.

Collin Greene, the product security chief of Facebook told that it will reward people who have first hand knowledge and proof of where a Facebook platform app collects and transfers people’s data to another party to be sold, stolen or used for scams or political influence.
