Face masks made compulsory in schools from next academic year

On Saturday, Kerala's health department has made an important guideline that has to be followed in all schools across the state. Issuing a new order, the government declared that the face mask will be made mandatory for students and teachers from the next academic year. After the coronavirus outbreak comes under control, this guideline has to be followed.

Like school uniforms, face masks made of cloth will be distributed for free at public school. A student will get two face masks under the scheme. Made of cotton fabric, the facemasks can be reused after washing. For this, over half crore face masks will have to be made and supplied in all public schools in the state by May 30. The Government has also sought help from parents, volunteers, and alumni for the face mask making process.
