A Chennai man has been arrested by the police for stealing a Jaguar XE, which he claims to have stolen to repay his debt of Rs 80,000 debt. The man, who's working as a security guard, stole the car of the person from the adjacent building to sell and get money to repay debt.

A Balasubramanian who is working in a a private firm lives in an apartment in Anna Nagar, and his company had given him the Jaguar XE before two years. Balasubramaniam had regularly parked the car parked in the parking lot of his apartment. On May 26, Balasubramanian’s driver lost the car keys and they weren't able to find the keys. 

Following this incident, Balasubramanian informed the Anna Nagar police about the missing keys and on May 31 his car also went missing. He informed this to the Anna Nagar police and with the information that Vijayram from Cuddalore who worked as a security guard in the opposite building used to help Balasubramaniam to clean the vehicle, police officers checked the CCTV footage and found Vijayram driving the car from the parking lot. Later reports arrived that Vijayram parked the car in  Maduravoyal, searching buyers.Later, Vijayram was arrested and he confessed stealing the car keys when Balasubramanian’s driver dropped them, and that he did the crime to pay his Rs 80,000 debt.
